Innovation Showcasing-2021 WZPDCL's 2nd place.

West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd. (WZPDCL) has won the 2nd place by participating in the "Innovation Showcasing 2021" competition organized by the Ministry of Power, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources distributed the prizes in Dhaka at 10:00 am on Sunday 29/08/2021 after the competition of Low Cost Substation Automation System with SCADA.
Mr. Ratan Kumar Debnath FCMA, Managing Director (Extraordinary) of WZPDCL and Mr. Debashish Pal, Executive Engineer of WZPDCL received the award on behalf of WZPDCL.

Also present at the award ceremony were Mr. Mohammad Selim Uddin, Additional Secretary (Administration), Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Selim Abed, Chairman, WZPDCL and Additional Secretary (Coordination), Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Mohammad Hossain , Director General, Power Cell, Power Department and Mr. Md. Ahsanur Rahman Hasib, Deputy Secretary (Administration-1), Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.

All the existing 33/11 KV substations of WZPDCL (Voltage, Current, Load and other parameters) and the record of on / off feeders are recorded by the working SBAs in the manual logbook. In addition indoor feeders are turned on / off in front of the Live Panel which is risky for the working SBA. In the absence of a computerized data base, the information stored in the manual logbook is not conducive to future planning analysis.
